Wholesale prices for Nvidia's upcoming RTX 50 series graphics cards have reportedly increased by up to 800 yuan in a single week. The hikes are attributed to rising costs of memory components.
Wholesale prices for Nvidia's forthcoming RTX 50 series graphics cards have seen significant increases, with some models reportedly rising by as much as 800 yuan (approximately $110 USD) within a week, according to industry sources cited by IT Home.
The price surges are directly linked to increased costs from upstream DRAM suppliers for GDDR7 and GDDR6 memory. Specifically, the price for GDDR7 memory has reportedly climbed by nearly $20 USD per 2GB module.
In anticipation of these price adjustments, several AIC partners (Add-in Card manufacturers) have reportedly halted shipments. Nvidia is expected to finalize and communicate its new pricing policies to partners in August.
The reported price increases vary by model: RTX 5070 series cards have risen by 800 yuan to a wholesale range of 5600-5750 yuan. RTX 5060 Ti 16G models increased by 600 yuan to 4400-4550 yuan. The RTX 5060 Ti 8G saw a 400 yuan increase to 3200-3400 yuan, and the RTX 5060 series rose by 300 yuan to 2650-2750 yuan.
The term 'field wholesale price' refers to the transaction price between distributors and dealers, not retail or ex-factory prices.
