Nykaa reports profit growth in second quarter
Ecommerce retailer Nykaa saw its net profit rise to 101 crore rupees in the second quarter, driven by increased profitability in its beauty business.

Nykaa, an Indian ecommerce company specializing in beauty and fashion, reported a consolidated net profit of 101.2 crore rupees for the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year. This represents a 206.8% increase compared to the 33 crore rupees recorded in the same period last year.
Operating revenue grew by 28.1% to 3,006 crore rupees, up from 2,346 crore rupees a year prior. The company’s total expenses rose by 24.8%, a growth rate that remained below the company's revenue expansion. This gap contributed to improved profit margins, bolstered by operational efficiencies in the beauty segment and reduced losses in fashion.
The beauty segment, the company's primary driver, saw revenue increase by 26.6% to 2,699.7 crore rupees. Meanwhile, the fashion segment reported revenue of 287.2 crore rupees, a 42.9% rise, as its pre-tax losses narrowed significantly to 7.7 crore rupees from 21.4 crore rupees the previous year.
Concurrent with the financial results, the company announced that its board of directors has approved the acquisition of an 82% stake in Simply Nam Beauty. The transaction is valued at up to 33 crore rupees in cash.
