Nykaa to Acquire Majority Stake in Skincare Brand Aminu
Indian e-commerce platform Nykaa has approved the acquisition of a 51% majority stake in direct-to-consumer skincare brand Aminu for up to ₹32 crore.

E-commerce platform Nykaa's board of directors has approved the acquisition of a 51% majority stake in direct-to-consumer (D2C) skincare brand Aminu for a cash consideration of up to ₹32 crore (approximately $3.8 million USD).
The transaction is anticipated to be completed by September 15. Founded in 2019, Aminu offers a range of skincare products including serums and sunscreens, and operates within the premium category, a segment Nykaa aims to expand. The startup also provides free skin consultation services.
Nykaa seeks to leverage Aminu's research and development capabilities and its omnichannel distribution network. Aminu reported revenue of ₹19.4 crore (approximately $2.3 million USD) in FY26, a 50% year-over-year increase from FY25.
This acquisition follows Nykaa's strategy of acquiring or taking stakes in established beauty brands, such as Dot & Key and Earth Rhythm, to build its portfolio.
