OBS Studio, the open-source software for live streaming and screen recording, has launched version 32.2. The update features a redesigned "Add Source" dialog box, replacing the previous dropdown menu to offer a clearer and more intuitive way to select and add various media sources.

This new dialog aims to improve the user experience by more clearly presenting available source types. Plugin developers can now also provide custom icons for new source types, allowing third-party sources to integrate more seamlessly into the redesigned interface.

For multi-track video functionality, version 32.2 introduces support for dynamic bitrate. This feature enables the software to adjust the bitrate automatically during a stream when network conditions degrade, helping to prevent connection instability or dropped frames. Additionally, a new filter has been added to assist HDR content creators, allowing standard dynamic range (SDR) content to be composited into an HDR output.

The update also improves the handling of image slideshow sources. Users can now add all WebP images within an entire directory as a single source, simplifying the process for those working with large collections of WebP assets.
