Vancouver, BC – OceanaGold Corporation has announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Gerard Bond, intends to retire in April 2027. Bond has served as the company's CEO for five years and will act as a special advisor to the Board and incoming CEO for six months following his departure.

Bond stated that the company is in a strong financial position with a clear growth pipeline, indicating it is the right time for new leadership to drive execution. Since his tenure began in early 2022, OceanaGold has reported significant improvements in operational and financial performance.

Paul Benson, Chairman of OceanaGold's Board of Directors, acknowledged Bond's contributions during a period of transformation. Benson highlighted the company's strategic focus on maximizing production, fostering a strong culture, cost-effective growth, financial stability, and positive investor relations.

Benson affirmed that the company's outlook remains positive and that the leadership transition is not expected to alter the company's strategy or financial trajectory. An international search firm, Spencer Stuart, has been appointed to assist the Board in selecting a successor.

OceanaGold is a mid-tier gold and copper producer with four operating mines: Haile Gold Mine in the United States, Macraes and Waihi in New Zealand, and Didipio Mine in the Philippines.
