Ola Electric Opens First Dealer-Led Stores, Eyes 500-Outlet Network
Electric two-wheeler maker Ola Electric has opened its first dealer-operated stores across India, less than a month after announcing a shift from its company-owned retail model. The company aims to build a network of over 500 dealerships.

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric has launched its first dealer-led retail outlets across India. This move comes less than a month after the company announced its transition away from a solely company-owned sales model.
The initial batch of dealer-operated stores are now live in several Indian states including Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. Ola Electric stated these outlets will serve local demand for its electric scooters and motorcycles, while simultaneously expanding its reach into regional markets.
The company intends to establish a network of more than 500 dealerships within the next two quarters. Ola Electric's existing company-owned stores will be repurposed as product experience centers. This strategic shift represents a significant overhaul of the company's distribution strategy, which previously relied entirely on direct retail.
Under the new partner-led model, dealerships will handle both local sales and after-sales service, a move expected to improve customer support and address past service-related complaints. This approach is also designed to enable faster expansion into new territories without the capital expenditure associated with company-owned infrastructure.
