Ola Electric Shifts To Dealer-Led Sales Model To Expand Reach

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric has announced a transition to a dealer-led sales and service model throughout India. This move aims to broaden the company's electric vehicle (EV) footprint beyond its existing company-owned retail network.

The strategic pivot deviates from Ola Electric's prior direct-to-consumer approach, which it has employed since launching its initial electric scooters. The company has now opened its network to dealer partners and anticipates achieving significant dealership scale by Diwali 2026.

Under the new framework, company-owned showrooms will concentrate on brand experience and product demonstrations, while dealers will spearhead local sales, service, and expansion efforts. Ola Electric believes this dealer-led strategy will leverage its EV portfolio and brand strength with partners' local market expertise to enhance its presence in cities and towns.

The shift occurs as Ola Electric seeks to regain market share in the competitive electric two-wheeler sector, while also focusing on the battery energy storage systems (BESS) segment as a future growth area.
