Omaha Steaks Cuts Product Line by 60%, Emphasizes US Origin in New Campaign
Omaha Steaks has reduced its product offerings by 60% and launched a new "No Bull" marketing campaign to highlight its 100% U.S. beef origins amid industry challenges.

Omaha Steaks, the 109-year-old meat delivery company, has significantly streamlined its product catalog, cutting 60% of its Stock Keeping Units (SKUs). This move is accompanied by the launch of a new marketing campaign, "No Bull," which emphasizes the company's commitment to 100% U.S.-sourced beef.
The campaign aims to address growing consumer demand for transparency regarding meat origin, according to Chief Marketing and Digital Officer Eric Johnson. The "No Bull" initiative will utilize various media channels, including television and social media, to communicate a clear, pro-America message.
This strategic shift also involves simplifying pricing strategies, moving away from traditional promotional markdowns towards presenting clear, final prices. CEO Nate Rempe stated that 80% of the company's revenue comes from just 20% of its SKUs, making the divestment of lower-performing items a logical step.
In addition to product and marketing adjustments, Omaha Steaks is investing in faster delivery times, aiming for two-day service. The company is also reinforcing its brand identity around its American heritage, a trend seen across various consumer brands in the current market.
