Oman Air Joins global airline alliance one world

Oman Air officially became the 15th member airline of the oneworld alliance on July 1, 2025. As the flag carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, the airline strengthens oneworld's presence in the Middle East and opens new travel opportunities.

The addition is expected to add significant strategic reach for the alliance, particularly across the Gulf and South Asia regions. According to oneworld CEO Nat Pieper, Oman Air's network will offer new connections for customers. A new direct flight from Muscat to Amsterdam is among the initial new services being launched.

As a full member, Oman Air will extend oneworld's top-tier frequent flyer benefits (Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby) to its passengers, including earning and redeeming miles and access to lounges. Oman Air's own premium customers will gain access to oneworld's global network of nearly 700 lounges.

Oman Air serves 42 destinations globally from its hub at Muscat International Airport. The airline has received multiple awards for its service, including the 2025 Apex Middle East Awards for Best Food & Beverage and Best Cabin Service.
