OMRON completes split of Device & Module Solutions business, sells Aratas Corporation shares
OMRON Corporation has finalized the absorption-type company split of its Device & Module Solutions business and the subsequent sale of Aratas Corporation to a Carlyle Group-backed entity.

OMRON Corporation announced on October 1, 2026, the completion of its absorption-type company split for the Device & Module Solutions business (DMB) and the transfer of shares in Aratas Corporation.
The DMB business was transferred to Aratas Corporation, a subsidiary established by OMRON, effective July 1, 2026. Subsequently, OMRON sold all shares of Aratas Corporation to TCG2602 Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of an entity established by The Carlyle Group.
This transaction was part of a broader plan disclosed by OMRON in March 2026. The process involved transferring DMB-related assets and shares to Aratas Corporation, followed by the share transfer to the Carlyle-backed entity. OMRON also confirmed its completion of a 5% equity investment in TCG2601 Co., Ltd., the parent company of the acquiring entity.
Aratas Corporation, headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, is engaged in the manufacture and sale of electronic components and electrical equipment. Masahiko Ezaki serves as the President and CEO of Aratas Corporation.
