OMRON Healthcare Launches New Smart Scale in U.S. Market

OMRON Healthcare has introduced its VIVA 360+ Full-Body Smart Scale to the U.S. market. This device aims to provide users with a more complete understanding of their health and body composition by measuring up to 18 different metrics, going beyond simple body weight.

The scale utilizes electrodes in both the hands and feet to measure body composition, including skeletal muscle and body fat, offering segmental analysis of arms, trunk, and legs. It also tracks body water percentage and bone mass, helping users better comprehend the impact of lifestyle choices on their bodies. This launch addresses a growing consumer interest in health and weight management, alongside an increasing need for tools that can monitor changes in body composition.

Key features include a new Athlete Mode, designed for individuals with high muscle mass and frequent, intensive training. This mode uses athlete reference data to provide tailored measurements for users who may not fit standard body composition algorithms. Data from the VIVA 360+ can be synced with the OMRON Connect app for tracking trends over time.
