OMRON Receives Eighth "Nadeshiko Brand" Recognition

OMRON Corporation has received the "Nadeshiko Brand" recognition for the eighth time, a joint initiative by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE). This designation acknowledges companies that excel in promoting women's advancement and leadership.

The "Nadeshiko Brand" serves to highlight enterprises that foster a supportive environment for female employees and leverage their contributions for corporate value enhancement. OMRON's selection was based on its strategic approach, where developing next-generation female leaders is a core management priority. The company's efforts to integrate women's participation into its decision-making processes and drive business transformation were noted as advanced practices within the electrical and precision industries.

Evaluations confirmed that OMRON has established systems where female talent leads business strategy, core business decisions, and process reforms, yielding measurable results. The company actively tracks the relationship between human capital and financial or social value, using this data for stakeholder engagement. OMRON aims to create an environment where diverse talent can fully utilize their capabilities to address societal issues through its business activities.

Furthermore, OMRON emphasizes work-life balance support for all employees. In Japan, initiatives to encourage male employees to take parental leave, including direct discussions and support systems, have resulted in the average duration of paternity leave exceeding two months for three consecutive years. The uptake rate for paternity leave reached 72% in fiscal year 2024. OMRON plans to continue accelerating its efforts to promote women's active participation and cultivate a culture that supports diverse HR resources, fostering growth for both individuals and the company.
