Oncologist Hossein Taghizadeh advances research at St. Pölten University Hospital
Karl Landsteiner University researcher and oncologist Hossein Taghizadeh is focused on advancing molecular oncology to improve patient treatment outcomes.
Hossein Taghizadeh, a senior physician at the Clinical Division of Internal Medicine 1 at St. Pölten University Hospital, is bridging the gap between clinical practice and molecular oncology research. Currently, he co-leads the gastrointestinal oncology outpatient clinic, focusing on targeted therapies for refractory cancer patients.
After completing his doctoral studies at the Medical University of Vienna with a focus on biomarkers and colorectal carcinoma, Taghizadeh has continued to refine his expertise in molecular biology-based therapies. His recent academic pursuits include a master's degree in molecular oncology, further supporting his work in precision medicine.
Beyond his clinical duties, Taghizadeh maintains an active role in academia, teaching at both the Medical University of Vienna and Karl Landsteiner University. He advocates for integrating rigorous scientific research into the hospital environment, arguing that deep insight into disease mechanisms directly enhances diagnostic precision and therapeutic effectiveness for oncology patients.
