Ondo Finance launches BlackRock-powered portfolio strategies on blockchain

Ondo Finance has introduced a new category of on-chain products called Intelligent Portfolios, which represent portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock. Launched on September 25, 2026, these products allow eligible investors outside the U.S. to gain exposure to professionally constructed portfolios through single, transferable tokens.

The move aims to simplify access to diversified investment strategies, previously requiring traditional brokerage accounts or fund structures. These on-chain portfolios, delivered as peer-to-peer transferable tokens, can be utilized through existing wallets, exchanges, and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Ondo Finance suggests this opens new possibilities, such as automated rebalancing via smart contracts and integration into the broader on-chain economy.

"Tokenization creates new ways to deliver portfolio strategies via digital infrastructure," said Lisa O'Connor, Global Head of Model Portfolio Solutions at BlackRock. "Diversified portfolio strategies can be incorporated into tokenized investment products, giving eligible investors access to diversified allocations through a single instrument."

Initially, three strategies are being launched: Ondo High Income, Ondo Diversified Growth, and Ondo High Growth, all powered by BlackRock's strategies. Ondo Finance plans to expand its product line over time, aiming to connect traditional financial markets with decentralized infrastructure to enhance accessibility and efficiency.
