Cairo – The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) announced on July 9, 2026, its appointment of One Street Studios as a joint general partner for the Pan-African Film Fund. The fund aims to mobilize up to $1 billion to support Africa's film and creative industries.
Established as part of Afreximbank's Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) program, the fund seeks to grow Africa's film, television, and immersive media industries. The goal is to position the continent as a competitive global hub for audiovisual production and storytelling.
The fund will support content production, infrastructure, and distribution. It will prioritize export-oriented projects with strong global distribution potential, including investments in production capacity, post-production facilities, and digital distribution platforms.
The collaboration combines FEDA's financial expertise with One Street Studios' industry experience. One Street Studios brings an integrated model covering financing, development, and production, connecting African and diasporic creative potential for global markets.
