OnePlus officially unveiled its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 16, today. The device is powered by the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 processor and incorporates a 185Hz refresh rate display, marking a global debut for this feature. The company aims to enhance the gaming experience with these specifications.
The smartphone is priced starting at 5999 yuan and will be available for purchase from October 13th at 10:00 AM. Early buyers will also receive promotional gifts, including wireless earbuds. Internally, the OnePlus 16 is equipped with what the company calls "Gaming Triple Chips," designed to improve network connectivity, graphics performance, and touch responsiveness. The device also boasts IP66/68/69/69K dust and water resistance.
The 185Hz refresh rate offers a more than 50% increase in smoothness compared to 120Hz, aiming for clearer visuals during fast-paced gaming. Several titles, including "Arena Breakout," "Valorant Mobile," and "Naruto Mobile," are slated to support a native 185 FPS frame rate on the device.
