OnePlus has announced its upcoming OnePlus 16 smartphone will debut with a new "high-precision master gyroscope" featuring up to 800Hz sampling rate and a self-developed gaming network chip.

Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has announced its upcoming OnePlus 16 smartphone, set to feature a new "high-precision master gyroscope." This component boasts a gyroscope sampling rate of up to 800Hz, which the company claims will enhance gaming by providing "faster aiming, more accurate tracking, and more stable control." OnePlus suggests this capability surpasses the gyroscope performance found in game console controllers.

The company also introduced its self-developed "e-sports network chip G3," designed to reduce gaming latency. Additionally, the phone will include an "anti-interference e-sports antenna" engineered to maintain a stable network connection during gameplay, even if the user's hand covers the antenna. The device's 360-degree surround antenna design aims to ensure reliable connectivity in congested network environments like cafes or subways.

The OnePlus 16 is scheduled for an official launch on October 12. Preliminary leaked specifications indicate the phone will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K display with a 185Hz refresh rate, a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. The device will be powered by a 9000mAh battery, supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
