OnePlus 16 unveiled in three new colors, targets peak performance
OnePlus has officially revealed its OnePlus 16 smartphone series, introducing three new color options. The devices are positioned as flagship models focused on high performance.
OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus 16 series, showcasing three new colorways: "Tomorrow's Starlight," "Dark Forest," and "Mars Masterpiece." The company is positioning these new models as flagship devices prioritizing peak performance.
According to previous reports, the OnePlus 16 series will feature a new "Wind-speed Gaming Kernel," developed in collaboration with Qualcomm. This technology, built on the SM8975 platform (expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro), is said to deliver a mobile gaming experience comparable to current DLSS 4 technology. Performance claims suggest the device can run Genshin Impact at a sustained 180 FPS directly on the hardware.
The handset has passed China's 3C certification, identified as model PYB110, confirming support for 100W wired charging. Earlier, it received SRRC certification and MIIT approval, verifying support for the N79 5G band (4800–4960MHz). With all necessary certifications now secured, an official launch is anticipated soon.
The OnePlus 16 series is expected to compete in the high-end smartphone market, emphasizing its advanced gaming capabilities and fast charging specifications upon its release.
