OnePlus to Launch New Performance Phone with Advanced Cooling This Month

OnePlus is preparing to launch a new flagship smartphone with a focus on performance by the end of October. Leaks suggest the device will incorporate an active fan and a unique dual air-flow cooling architecture designed to enhance sustained performance.

The new system is reportedly capable of allowing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 processor to compete with the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen6. The cooling setup is said to effectively manage chip temperatures while simultaneously reducing the phone's back panel temperature, enabling consistent high output during demanding tasks.

This technology is said to integrate several proprietary patents. It includes an AI temperature sensor for intelligent thermal management and draws inspiration from desktop graphics card cooling systems. Optimizations have reportedly been made to address common active cooling issues like noise and dust ingress.

Early performance tests described in leaks suggest the phone offers formidable gaming capabilities, outperforming devices without additional cooling. While the official name remains unconfirmed, speculation points towards a OnePlus Ace 7. Previous reports indicated a device with model number PMS110, powered by Qualcomm's SM8850 chipset, consistent with the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 series.
