Oneworld Holds Five 'Best Alliance' Titles
Oneworld has been named the World's Best Airline Alliance in the 2013 World Airline Awards by Skytrax, bringing its total of leading industry accolades to five.
The airline alliance Oneworld has been recognized as the World's Best Airline Alliance at the 2013 World Airline Awards, presented by the independent Skytrax organization. This latest award brings the total number of 'best airline alliance' titles currently held by Oneworld to five.
Prior to this, Oneworld had already secured the Global Traveler magazine's Best Airline Alliance award for three consecutive years, the World Travel Awards' World's Leading Airline Alliance for ten consecutive years, and the Australian Business Traveller's Best Airline Alliance for two consecutive years. Additionally, the alliance won the FlightStats Airline Alliance On-Time Performance award in 2012.
Oneworld also holds both the Business Traveller's Cellars in the Sky trophy and Global Traveler's Wines on the Wing awards for the quality of wines served by its member airlines, for the fourth and second consecutive years respectively. The Skytrax awards are based on a survey of approximately 18 million travelers worldwide.
The alliance is currently undergoing a significant expansion phase, which includes the recent addition of Malaysia Airlines and the upcoming integration of Qatar Airways, further strengthening its global network and service offerings.
