Oneworld has moved to automate the pricing of its multi-airline ticket products, including its round-the-world and multi-continent fares. Previously, travel agents were required to manually calculate fares, taxes, and charges for these itineraries.

Starting December 5, 2016, travel agents using the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS), along with associated Abacus and INFINI platforms, can access automated fare calculations. This integration is expected to reduce pricing errors and minimize administrative costs associated with Agency Debit Memos (ADMs).

According to Oneworld Director of Sales José María Alvarado, the update is intended to simplify the booking process for complex multi-sector itineraries. The alliance plans to roll out this automation across other major distribution systems in the future.

Oneworld represents a network of 14 member airlines and 30 affiliates, covering over 1,000 destinations. The alliance's fare products include the continent-based Oneworld Explorer, the distance-based Global Explorer, and various regional 'Circle' fares.
