The oneworld airline alliance has received the Best Alliance award for its member airlines' in-flight wines for the third consecutive year at the Business Traveller magazine's Cellars in the Sky Awards, held in association with the International Wine Challenge.

The awards saw oneworld member airlines secure first prizes in 10 out of 15 categories, alongside 13 runner-up positions. A panel of five wine experts blind-tasted hundreds of wines served on long-haul flights by 32 different airlines.

Qantas, an Australian member of the alliance, was a significant winner, taking home the awards for Best Business Class Cellar, Best First Class Cellar, Most Consistent Wines, and Best Wine List Presentation. The airline also won for Best Business Class Red, featuring an Australian Shiraz, and Best First Class Sparkling wine.

Other oneworld members recognized included Cathay Pacific, which won awards for Best Improved Business Class Cellar and Best First Class Fortified and Sweet wine. LAN secured the top prize for Best Business Class Sparkling wine. British Airways and prospective member Malaysia Airlines also received multiple placements across various wine categories.

The Cellars in the Sky Awards are considered a key industry benchmark for onboard beverage service. Oneworld has consistently performed well in these and other industry awards, reinforcing its standing in the global airline alliance sector.
