The new facility currently accommodates 400 passengers and is scheduled to reach a capacity of 600 upon final completion next year. Access is restricted to first and business class travelers on oneworld flights, alongside Emerald and Sapphire status holders in the alliance's loyalty programs.

Qantas led the development and management of the lounge, partnering with hotel operator Sofitel to provide amenities such as curated dining menus, shower suites, and business workstations. Qantas International CEO Simon Hickey stated that the project represents a continued investment in passenger ground experience, matching the quality of the group’s existing lounges in Hong Kong and Sydney.

The initiative addresses a need for increased premium capacity at the terminal. With several oneworld members operating frequent services to Los Angeles, the consolidated space allows the alliance to standardize service levels across the group's network.
