The airline alliance oneworld has reinforced its commitment to the Latin American market, emphasizing the region's significance and the comprehensive service network available to travelers.
Oneworld's South America Sales Manager, Marcelo Silistria, stated at the FIT travel show in Buenos Aires that the alliance aims to be the preferred choice for customers worldwide, including in Latin America. He noted that the alliance comprises the region's leading airlines, all possessing excellent reputations for high-quality service.
"We offer more fare products and greater flexibility than all our competitors combined," Silistria said. "Whether you are in Buenos Aires or Bogota, Bangkok, Brussels, Boston, or Brisbane, oneworld is the alliance that revolves around you – and it's going to stay that way, promising you quality and value wherever and whenever you want to travel."
Globally, the alliance serves more countries than any other grouping, with member airlines collectively renowned for their unmatched service quality. Oneworld was recently recognized as the world's Best Airline Alliance at the 2002 Business Traveller Awards.
Four oneworld airlines provide services to, from, and within Latin America: American Airlines, LanChile, Iberia, and British Airways. Additionally, Qantas, through a new codeshare agreement with LanChile, offers connections from the region to Australia and the South Pacific.
