ONLYOFFICE 10.0 Adds AI Tools and Enhanced Security to Open-Source Suite
The ONLYOFFICE 10.0 update integrates context-aware AI tools directly into its document, spreadsheet, and presentation editors, alongside significant security enhancements.

ONLYOFFICE has released its major autumn update, version 10.0, introducing substantial upgrades to its open-source office suite. The update focuses on embedding context-aware AI tools directly within the document, spreadsheet, and presentation editors, aiming to streamline user workflows.
The new AI capabilities allow users to draft, summarize, translate, and format content without leaving the application. This feature is designed to automate routine tasks, such as summarizing legal contracts or transforming ideas into structured presentations. Organizations can manage AI model usage based on quality, speed, and cost, ensuring sensitive data remains within their own infrastructure.
The release also introduces four new, free modular applications that extend the functionality of ONLYOFFICE Docs. These include AI agents for workspace automation, forms for data collection and response analysis, centralized document storage with access controls, and secure collaboration spaces, including virtual data rooms for confidential content. These apps are enabled by default in cloud versions and can be installed with a single command on server deployments.
Further enhancements are made to the PDF editor, adding features like metadata removal and customizable annotations. Other editor improvements include real-time cursor tracking for co-authors, improved right-to-left language support, and faster spreadsheet functionalities. The software's security has been strengthened through the remediation of 35 vulnerabilities.
Overall, version 10.0 incorporates approximately 50 new features and over a thousand fixes across its online, desktop, and mobile editors, enhancing user productivity and security.
