ONLYOFFICE 10.0 Adds AI Tools and Enhanced Security to Open Source Suite

ONLYOFFICE has officially released version 10.0 of its open-source office suite, a significant autumn update that incorporates context-aware AI tools directly into its editors. The release also introduces new modular applications and substantial security enhancements for organizations of all sizes.

The new version features approximately 50 new functions and over 1,000 fixes across its online, desktop, and mobile editors. AI capabilities are embedded within the document, spreadsheet, presentation, and PDF editors. A dedicated AI tab with an integrated chat function allows users to draft, summarize, translate, debug, and format content without leaving the document, with AI outputs tailored to the document's context.

Four new free modular applications are also introduced, extending ONLYOFFICE Docs. These include AI Agents for automated workspaces and intelligent search, Forms for streamlined data collection and analysis, Files for centralized document storage with access controls, and Rooms for secure collaboration, including Virtual Data Rooms for sensitive content.

Security has been reinforced with the patching of 35 vulnerabilities, a critical step given the increasing use of AI which can introduce new potential attack vectors. Enhancements have also been made to the desktop and mobile applications, including AI assistance and expanded integration options.
