ONLYOFFICE 10.0 Adds AI Tools, Modular Apps, and Enhanced Security

ONLYOFFICE has released version 10.0 of its open-source office suite, incorporating significant updates focused on artificial intelligence (AI), modular applications, and improved security. The release includes around 50 new features and over 1,000 fixes across its online, desktop, and mobile editors.

The core of the update is the integration of context-aware AI tools directly within the document, spreadsheet, presentation, and PDF editors. A dedicated AI tab and chat functionality allow users to draft, summarize, translate, and format content without leaving the application, aiming to streamline workflows for various professional tasks.

Additionally, four new free modular apps have been introduced to extend the capabilities of ONLYOFFICE Docs. These apps focus on workspace automation, data collection, centralized document storage, and secure collaboration, including virtual data rooms. The company emphasizes that organizations can control AI model usage, ensuring data remains within their own infrastructure.

Security has been a key focus, with the update addressing 35 vulnerabilities to bolster protection for organizations handling sensitive data. Enhancements have also been made to the desktop and mobile versions, including new integrations and AI assistants for on-the-go productivity.
