ONLYOFFICE has released version 10.0 of its open-source office suite, introducing integrated AI tools, new modular applications, and enhanced security features. The update brings approximately 50 new functions and over 1,000 bug fixes across its online, desktop, and mobile editors.
The new version integrates contextual AI directly into document, spreadsheet, presentation, and PDF editors. Users can generate drafts, summarize text, translate content, and format documents without leaving the application. An AI tab with an integrated chat allows teams to leverage AI for various tasks, with options for custom prompts and workflow automation. Companies can select AI models based on quality, speed, and cost, ensuring data privacy as sensitive information remains within their infrastructure.
Four new modular applications are introduced: AI Agents automate workspaces with smart search and personalized knowledge bases. Forms optimize data collection and response evaluation. Files centralizes document storage and access control. Rooms provides secure collaboration, including virtual data rooms for sensitive content.
The update also includes enhancements to the editors, such as metadata removal and reusable signatures in the PDF editor, real-time cursor tracking in the document editor, and faster performance for spreadsheets. Presentation tools gain new view modes and export options.
ONLYOFFICE 10.0 addresses 35 security vulnerabilities, bolstering protection for businesses handling sensitive data. Desktop and mobile applications also receive updates, including AI assistants and interface improvements, making the suite more robust and versatile.
