Opella Announces New Initiatives in Health, Leadership Appointments
Opella has rolled out several new initiatives, including a program for fatty liver disease recognition and treatment, alongside strategic partnerships and key leadership appointments across its global operations.

Opella has announced a series of new global initiatives, focusing on advancements in healthcare and organizational leadership. The company launched "The Fatty Liver Constellation" program aimed at improving the early recognition and treatment of Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD).
In terms of leadership, Opella has appointed Victoria Tiffin as its new Chief Sales Officer. Murali Rao has been named Head of Brand & Innovation for the AMET region. Furthermore, Gonzalo Balcazar has been appointed President of Europe and Latin America. Regional leadership has also been strengthened with appointments like Luis Soares as General Manager in Mexico and Václav Tetour as Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Strategic partnerships are also a key focus for Opella. The company has joined forces with Verb Biotics to advance gut health initiatives. Additionally, Opella and FIP have established a five-year strategic partnership to promote global self-care.
The company is also investing in sustainability and industrial development. Opella Healthcare is undertaking an electrification project in Australia, supported by federal funding. Opella's net-zero target has received validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Opella celebrated its 60-year history in Compiègne, France, with a €40 million investment in its industrial facility. The company has also raised awareness about probiotic quality concerns in children's care and launched "Capire la Pancia" in Italy to foster better understanding of common stomach ailments.
