Opella has appointed Gonzalo Balcazar as President for its Europe and Latin America (EULA) operations, effective March 31, 2026. Balcazar joins the company's Executive Committee with a mandate to drive go-to-market excellence and expand access to health solutions.
Balcazar brings more than 25 years of experience in the consumer goods sector. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President for Household Care at Reckitt, overseeing a global business valued at approximately €2.5 billion. Prior to that, he held various roles at Procter & Gamble, focusing on sales, trade marketing, and business transformation.
Having worked across three continents, Balcazar is recognized for his outcome-driven leadership and track record of sustainable growth. Opella President & CEO Julie Van Ongevalle stated that Balcazar's appointment signifies a commitment to delivering health solutions and setting new standards in the region.
Balcazar plans to engage directly with consumers, healthcare professionals, and retail partners across Europe and Latin America. His focus will be on identifying opportunities to challenge existing norms and accelerate Opella's growth within these key markets.
