Opella Exceeds Sustainability Goals and Launches New Strategy
Consumer healthcare company Opella has met its 2025 sustainability targets and launched its new Health³ strategy, integrating planet, people, and business responsibility.

Global consumer healthcare company Opella announced on June 17, 2026, that it has achieved all its 2025 sustainability objectives, including exceeding its emissions reduction targets. Simultaneously, the company introduced its new and more ambitious Health³ strategy, deepening its commitment to environmental, social, and business responsibility. Achievements include a 70% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions against 2019 levels, utilization of 100% renewable electricity in operations, landfill-free manufacturing sites, and paper-based consumer packaging from certified sources. Furthermore, Opella reached over 238 million people with health awareness and responsible medicine use initiatives in 2025. The Health³ strategy operates on three interconnected pillars: Healthy Planet, Healthy People, and Healthy Business. The company is committed to achieving net-zero by 2050, with a near-term target of reducing absolute emissions by 58.8% by 2034, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This is significant as the healthcare industry accounts for nearly 5% of global emissions. Regarding people's health, Opella aims to improve health literacy for 50 million individuals annually and train 200,000 pharmacists by 2030. The company, which previously obtained B Corp certification, also seeks to recertify under new, stringent standards. Chief Sustainability Officer Marissa Saretsky emphasized that current global challenges demand interconnected solutions. Through the Health³ strategy, Opella aims to multiply its positive impact across the planet, people, and its business.
