OpenAI announces '28-day plan' for Codex and ChatGPT Work improvements
AI company OpenAI has announced a "28-day plan" to enhance its Codex code generation assistant and ChatGPT Work service. The team commits to daily updates providing significant user benefits, or a "reset".

Artificial intelligence company OpenAI is set to implement significant improvements to its Codex code generation assistant and ChatGPT Work service over the next 28 days. Thibault Sottiaux, Head of Core Products and Platforms at OpenAI, announced via social media that the team will release a daily update aimed at delivering a noticeable and meaningful improvement for most Codex and Work users. Should daily progress not be achieved, the company promises a "reset".
The initiative is expected to run from October 5th through November 2nd. However, Sottiaux did not specify the nature of this "reset" or which users or features it would encompass. This program highlights OpenAI's focus on enhancing the efficiency and simplicity of its products in response to user feedback.
The day prior to this announcement, Sottiaux had stated that the team had "locked direction" and was concentrating on simplifying products, improving usage efficiency to support higher volumes, launching breakthrough features, and developing new models. The increasing demand for more user-centric and accessible AI solutions is evident.
OpenAI's actions indicate a strategic effort to deliver more practical and user-friendly applications, while continuing with fundamental research and the development of new AI models. This 28-day period is intended to demonstrate tangible progress in these areas.
