OpenAI calls Apple's lawsuit 'aggressive and oddly personal'

AI firm OpenAI has responded to a lawsuit filed by Apple, characterizing it as a "careless, aggressive and oddly personal" legal action. Apple accuses OpenAI of stealing trade secrets as it plans to launch its own AI-focused consumer devices.

"We do not have, nor want, any of their trade secrets," OpenAI wrote in a blog post on Monday evening. The company accused Apple of "making vague accusations" and "trying to change their narrative."

The dispute began last month when Apple filed a lawsuit alleging that OpenAI had stolen hardware designs. OpenAI's response marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict.
