OpenAI CEO Sam Altman traveled to South Korea over the weekend for a series of high-level meetings with the nation's leading semiconductor and electronics firms. Altman held discussions with approximately 50 Samsung executives, covering the role of artificial intelligence in corporate operations and future technological collaboration.

Local media also reported that Altman met with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, accompanied by executives from SK Hynix and SK Telecom. The discussions reportedly centered on advancing the company’s "Stargate" initiative, which focuses on securing supply chains for high-bandwidth memory chips and developing AI data center capabilities.
