The new subscription includes the "Ultrafast" feature, capable of generating up to 300 tokens per second within the Codex model. This represents an approximate eightfold increase in speed compared to the standard offering, targeting users who require rapid and efficient AI processing.
OpenAI also announced adjustments to its existing subscription tiers during its DevDay 2026 event. The usage allowances and weekly message limits for the current $200 Pro plan will be reduced, while the price remains unchanged. The company had previously limited new sign-ups for the Pro 200 tier due to system strain.
