OpenPR: High-Brightness Outdoor Modules Enhance Long-View Displays

OpenPR has introduced new high-brightness DIP (Dual In-line Package) modules specifically engineered for demanding outdoor advertising displays. These modules offer enhanced durability and visibility compared to standard surface-mount device (SMD) displays in external conditions.

The new DIP modules are optimized for use in applications such as highway gantry networks, long-distance roadside billboards, and rooftop advertising structures. These environments expose screens to direct sunlight, heavy storms, industrial saline mist, and continuous vibration from traffic.

OpenPR states that DIP modules are more resilient to these conditions because their components are soldered onto the circuit board and individually protected. This construction significantly improves the reliability and lifespan of the modules when compared to SMD displays, whose components can more easily detach or suffer damage in harsh environments.
