Oppo, Vivo Decline Samsung Memory Price Offer for Q3 2026
Smartphone manufacturers Oppo and Vivo have rejected Samsung Electronics' proposed memory pricing for the third quarter of 2026. The companies are pushing back against rising memory costs.

Oppo and Vivo have reportedly rejected Samsung Electronics' proposed memory price offer for the third quarter of 2026. Despite the offer representing only a modest increase from earlier this year, the smartphone makers are signaling growing resistance to escalating memory costs.
Downstream device makers are increasingly unwilling to absorb the record-high prices. While some smartphone brands may slow inventory replenishment, the overall supply-demand imbalance in the mobile memory market is unlikely to shift, with demand continuing to outpace supply.
The tight supply situation is particularly acute in the DRAM segment. Strong demand for LPDDR memory, driven by server processors like Nvidia's Grace and Vera CPUs, is diverting production capacity that would otherwise go to smartphones. Additionally, production capacity for NAND flash can be more readily shifted towards AI applications, further constricting supply for consumer devices.
