Opus Bank Developer Values Collaboration and Customer Insight

Saurabh Taware, a software developer at Opus Bank, describes his work experience in life insurance services, emphasizing the open collaboration between business and development teams which makes his work more meaningful.

"The most important thing in my work is to create things that benefit customers. Now I collaborate with business specialists who know the customers and how they think," Taware states. Previously, he found the work mechanical when the reasoning behind solutions was unclear.

Taware has been working at Opus Bank since January 2024. He praises the distinct structure of organizations and projects, where developers receive support from their own organization while learning about the business through the project. "Business decisions are made at the same table as technical decisions, which is quite rare in my experience," he notes.

Opus Bank invests in the professional development of its employees. Taware himself has utilized opportunities such as Azure certification training and other courses. He considers the desire for continuous learning an essential characteristic in the IT sector.

In early 2024, Taware was promoted to Lead Developer after eight months as a Senior Developer. His goal is to advance to an Expert Developer role, which will include software architect duties in the future.
