Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor (GWM) has announced that the 2027 model year of its Ora Good Cat electric vehicle will be launched on September 29. The new model is expected to bring updates to both its exterior and interior design, along with a new "Red Luck" color option.
The vehicle is also reported to receive an upgraded powertrain featuring a 98 kW electric motor. Additionally, it will offer a driving range of 355 kilometers on a single charge. The launch is anticipated to lower the car's price point, with unconfirmed reports suggesting the base model could enter the 60,000 yuan range (approximately $8,200 USD).
For reference, the current Ora Good Cat has a suggested retail price starting from 83,800 yuan (approximately $11,500 USD) in China, with a limited-time renewal price of 79,800 yuan (approximately $10,900 USD).
GWM's Ora brand focuses on compact electric vehicles. The upcoming release of the updated Good Cat is part of the company's strategy to expand its EV offerings in China and potentially other markets.
