Oracle Reportedly To Cut 3,000 Jobs In India

Technology firm Oracle plans to lay off approximately 3,000 employees in India as part of a broader global workforce reduction. The layoffs are expected to commence in early September, according to reports.

If the reductions proceed as indicated, they would affect roughly 10% of Oracle's 30,000-strong workforce in India. Oracle maintains multiple hubs across India, housing significant engineering, cloud, and support teams. This follows previous workforce adjustments; in March, the company reportedly downsized its Indian staff by approximately 12,000, citing advancements in AI and automation.
