Orestone Mining plans exploration at Las Burras project in Argentina
Orestone Mining Corp. plans to conduct airborne magnetotelluric surveys at its Las Burras-Incahuasi copper-gold-molybdenum project in Salta Province, Argentina. The project has previously identified two large porphyry systems.

Orestone Mining Corp. announced plans to conduct airborne magnetotelluric (MT) surveys over its Las Burras-Incahuasi copper-gold-molybdenum project located in Salta Province, Argentina. The project encompasses two large porphyry copper systems, Las Burras and Incahuasi, situated approximately three kilometers apart. These systems have been partially defined by mapping, sampling, trenching, and geophysical surveys, with limited drilling conducted to date.
Previous geophysical work, including induced polarization and magnetic surveys, identified resistivity lows and high conductivity values, features typical of large porphyry systems. Peripheral gold occurrences have also been mapped. Initial drilling intersected anomalous copper, gold, and molybdenum over intervals up to 300 meters, sometimes for the entire hole length, with grades ranging from 0.10 to 0.40 percent copper. However, these potential extensions have not been drill-tested in the decade since.
The planned 18-square-kilometer MT survey aims to better define priority drill targets at both shallow and deeper levels within these large target areas. Orestone is in discussions with qualified geophysical contractors in Argentina regarding the execution and scheduling of the survey.
David Hottman, Orestone's CEO, stated the company believes the current commodity cycle and investment climate are favorable for exploration-stage companies. He highlighted the Las Burras-Incahuasi project's copper-gold-molybdenum potential and Orestone's Captain project's gold-dominant porphyry trend in British Columbia. Both projects are noted for their accessibility and potential for significant discoveries.
