Orestone Mining Refines Gold-Copper Target at Captain Property
Orestone Mining Corp. has refined its gold-copper porphyry trend model at the Captain Property by integrating structural data with results from airborne Magnetotelluric (MT) surveys.

Orestone Mining Corp. is refining its geological model for a gold-copper porphyry trend at its Captain Property in British Columbia. The company analyzed structural and geological data alongside results from airborne Magnetotelluric (MT) surveys.
Three distinct MT targets exhibiting low resistivity have been identified over a five-kilometer strike length along a north-south trending fault. These targets are situated at the intersection of northeast and northwest trending cross-faults. The trend remains open to the north and south, with additional MT surveys planned for 2023.
Anomalies at the primary T1 target suggest a steeply dipping porphyry system starting several hundred meters below a conductive tabular section. This anomaly measures 300-400 meters wide and 1200 meters long at a depth of 500 meters, expanding to 1500 x 1500 meters at a depth of 1300 meters, indicating a deep porphyry system that narrows to a dyke system near the surface.
Drilling planned for 2023 aims to target the core of the system with two holes planned to a depth of 1000 meters. The drilling will continue deeper if gold-copper mineralized porphyry is encountered. Previous drilling in the area intersected gold-copper mineralization within dykes, suggesting proximity to a larger porphyry system.
The Captain Property, covering 105 square kilometers, is located north of Fort St. James. Orestone continues to advance the exploration of this gold-copper-dominant porphyry system.
