Orient Express Day Trip for Contest Winner
A winner of the 'First Love' story contest will experience a dream journey on the legendary Orient Express. The day trip includes travel, culinary delights, and on-site activities.
Berlin – A lucky winner of the 'First Love' story contest, accompanied by a partner, will embark on a unique day trip aboard the legendary Orient Express. The journey promises luxurious surroundings and unforgettable experiences both on and off the train.
The day begins with a lavish breakfast served in the train's original, restored 1920s and 1930s salon carriages. Passengers can enjoy picturesque scenery and the train's amenities during the journey. In the evening, a six-course candlelit dinner will be served on the return trip, with a pianist providing ambiance in the bar car.
Four distinct day trips are available: from Hamburg and Berlin to Wittenberge for the Elblandfestspiele (July 15-16), from Berlin to Ahlbeck (October 1), from Berlin to Eisenach (October 2), and from Hamburg to Copenhagen (October 3). In Wittenberge, guests will be treated to culinary creations by Knut Diete, head chef of the restaurant 'Kranhaus,' and hospitality trainees.
The Orient Express, which began its iconic journey from Paris to Constantinople in 1883, has long been a symbol of luxury travel. Often referred to as a 'palace on rails,' its history includes challenges such as snow blockades and accidents, yet it continues to captivate travelers with its legendary allure.
