Osara Health and Medibank Launch Cancer Coaching Program

Osara Health has partnered with Medibank, a major Australian private health insurer, to provide its evidence-based Cancer Coach program to Medibank members diagnosed with cancer. The collaboration aims to support the more than four million Medibank customers who face the physical and emotional demands of cancer.

The Cancer Coach program pairs each participant with a dedicated health coach, typically an exercise physiologist trained in health coaching. These coaches guide individuals in setting personal health goals and offer practical advice on managing fatigue, improving sleep, increasing physical activity, nutrition, and emotional well-being. Participants also receive tailored educational resources and access to the Osara Health digital platform.

This initiative addresses the need for support beyond clinical appointments. "Our coaches help people manage those everyday challenges, and our partnership with Medibank means many more Australians with cancer can now get that support," said Dr. Raghav Murali-Ganesh, Co-Founder and CEO of Osara Health. The program is designed to assist individuals in navigating the complexities of their diagnosis and treatment while maintaining work and family life.

Medibank's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Paul Eleftheriou, highlighted the program's role in holistic care. "Through our partnership with Osara Health, we can help members navigate that experience with dedicated cancer coaching alongside their medical care," he stated. The service is delivered remotely over 6 to 12 weeks, allowing participation from home, including in remote areas.

Research published in JMIR Cancer in 2026 indicated that participants reported clinically meaningful improvements in both physical and mental health. Eligible Medibank members can enroll in the program starting October 14, 2026.
