OSCP Unveils MK2Z-3 Photonic Inertial Measurement Unit
Montreal-based OSCP has introduced the MK2Z-3, a photonic inertial measurement unit featuring up to three axes of gyroscopic stability.

OSCP debuted the MK2Z-3 at Silicon Valley Space Week, presenting a new inertial measurement unit (IMU) designed for high-precision navigation. The hardware integrates photonic gyroscopes across one, two, or three axes, all contained within a chassis weighing less than one kilogram.
The engineering target for the device is an angular random walk of 0.01 degrees per hour or better. This photonic approach seeks to improve accuracy and reliability for sensitive aerospace and industrial applications compared to traditional electronic counterparts.
OSCP has scheduled the distribution of initial samples for 2027, marking the next phase in the product's development cycle.
