Osisko Development advances mining projects in British Columbia and Utah
Osisko Development is moving forward with the construction of its Cariboo Gold project in Canada and exploration in Utah, targeting gold production by 2029.
Osisko Development Corp. is focused on the redevelopment of historic mining camps in North America. The company’s flagship asset, the Cariboo Gold Project in central British Columbia, is currently under construction and is expected to reach production by 2029.
In addition to its Canadian operations, the firm is developing the Tintic project in Utah, USA. Situated in the historic East Tintic mining district, the site includes several past-producing mines. The company continues to evaluate the potential for both gold and base metal extraction within the project's boundaries.
To support these capital-intensive development stages, the company has secured external financing, including a $30 million strategic equity investment from Trafigura finalized in October 2026. The firm’s management team draws on experience from previous projects, including the development of the Canadian Malartic mine.
