OssDsign launches performance-based warranty for spine fusion product
OssDsign AB has introduced a warranty program for its Catalyst bone graft substitute in the U.S., offering replacement kits for patients who do not achieve fusion.
Swedish orthobiologics firm OssDsign AB has launched the Catalyst Commitment Fusion Warranty Program for its nanosynthetic bone graft product. Under the new policy, healthcare facilities in the United States are eligible to receive a replacement product kit if a patient fails to achieve fusion after the bone graft was used according to approved labeling.
The launch follows findings from the company’s PROPEL study, a multi-center trial that reported an 88.4% fusion success rate among complex spine patients. OssDsign stated that the program is intended to reflect confidence in the product's clinical performance as documented in their real-world outcomes research.
This move comes as companies in the orthobiologics sector face pressure to provide concrete evidence of cost-effectiveness and patient outcomes. By backing its product with a warranty, OssDsign seeks to distinguish its synthetic bone graft from traditional options and lower the perceived clinical risk for surgeons using new-generation materials.
