Österreichs Wanderdörfer, an association for hiking villages, has outlined the tourism offerings within the Nassfeld-Pressegger See, Lesachtal, and Weissensee regions. The area features approximately 300 kilometers of marked hiking trails, traversing diverse landscapes from forested valleys and alpine meadows to rocky peaks.

The region emphasizes its unique natural and cultural scenery, with trails available for various difficulty levels, ranging from easy walks to strenuous climbing tours. State-certified mountain and ski guides are also available to lead guided tours and offer introductory climbing experiences for all skill levels.

Liesing im Lesachtal is specifically highlighted as "Europe's most natural valley." The area is recognized for its traditional culinary offerings, including centuries-old methods of baking farm bread. Liesing im Lesachtal has received the Austrian Hiking Quality Seal (Österreichisches Wandergütesiegel).
