Österreichs Wanderdörfer Showcases Nassfeld-Pressegger See, Lesachtal, and Weissensee Region

Österreichs Wanderdörfer has spotlighted the comprehensive offerings for both summer and winter seasons in the Nassfeld-Pressegger See, Lesachtal, and Weissensee region. The area's "Hike World" concept encompasses over 1,000 kilometers of marked hiking trails.

During summer, visitors can explore themed trails on Mount Nassfeld, long-distance hikes in the Carnic and Gailtal Alps, and Europe's largest alpine pasture area. Pressegger See and Weissensee lakes offer refreshment after active days.

In winter, the region transforms into a destination for snowshoeing and ski touring in Lesachtal, featuring approximately 300 kilometers of cross-country ski trails. Additionally, Weissensee and Pressegger See provide ice surfaces for skating.

The village of Liesing im Lesachtal has been certified as a "Wanderdorf" (hiking village), and "Der Daberer" is recognized as an "ausgezeichnetes Hotel" (excellent hotel). The region features a total of 407 hiking trails and 101 winter trails.
