Oterra launches natural yellow color for pet food
Oterra has introduced ColorFruit® Pet Yellow 1060 WSS-P, an AAFCO-compliant natural yellow colorant derived from turmeric for the pet food industry.
Oterra, a producer of natural colors and color solutions, has launched ColorFruit® Pet Yellow 1060 WSS-P. This new product is an AAFCO-compliant natural yellow colorant intended for use in pet food products.
The new colorant enables the replacement of the synthetic FD&C Yellow 5 in pet food. The goal is to support cleaner label declarations and create pet food products with more natural coloring. The colorant can be incorporated into dry extruded foods, baked goods, semi-moist treats, and wet pet food products.
Turmeric is a recognized colorant within the pet food industry. Oterra's new offering aims to provide a solution that aligns with growing consumer demand for more natural ingredients in pet food.
